As usual, the sensor is easy to set up: simply insert 3 AA batteries (not included) and secure the sensor in a freely accessible location using the enclosed mounting materials. Once you've mounted the sensor, you just need to manually connect the old base station to the replacement outdoor sensor. To do this, hold down the SCAN button on the base station for approximately 2 seconds, and then press the reset button on the sensor. Using the measured data, the weather station calculates a very reliable local weather trend forecast for the next 12 hours, which is indicated on the display by six graphical symbols.
