Observe the night sky, wherever you are: Thanks its compact size and lightweight design, the BRESSER 80/400 NightExplorer travel telescope is the ideal companion for astronomy enthusiasts. The night sky is best viewed from a location where there is no light pollution. For this reason, choose a place that gets really dark and has good weather conditions. The telescope comes with a practical and comfortable backpack for quick and secure transport of the telescope and its numerous accessories to your observation site. Thanks to the 80 mm objective lens diameter and 400 mm focal length, the powerful refracting telescope is ideal for observing large objects. Examine the surface of the moon or marvel at deep-sky objects such as open clusters or the popular Pleiades. The telescope also comes with three eyepieces so that you can change the magnification depending on what you’re observing. The 90° erecting lens shows an upright and non-reversed image.

Eyepieces
Thanks to the three eyepieces, the telescope is suitable for observing a wide range of objects: The 4 mm eyepiece delivers 100x magnification. The 12.5 mm shows the night sky in 32x magnification. With the 20 mm eyepiece, the telescope has 20x magnification.

Photography
Would you like to capture images from your holiday observations to impress your family and friends? No problem: Thanks to the smartphone holder, you can place your smartphone camera directly over the eyepiece to take stunning images of the night sky.

Mount
The set includes a sturdy tripod that can be easily attached to the telescope tube. The height of the tripod can be adjusted between 73 cm and 160 cm to ensure that you can observe from a comfortable position. To compensate for the earth’s rotation, you can manually track the travel telescope on the mount so that your eyes move together with the Orion Nebula, the moon and other celestial objects.

With the usage of barlow lenses, you can extend the equivalent focal length of telescopes and hence increase the magnification of your observed targets.
