The Pulsar Observatory Dome provides a high quality, secure and practical housing for your telescope. Providing excellent weather protection for you and your telescope, it allows you to have your instrument ready for use at all times. Whether imaging or visual, having the convenience of a permanent set up adds greatly to your enjoyment of exploring the night sky. 

Ideal for up to at least 16" (40cm) aperture telescopes and a variety of installations, also ideal for societies, schools, etc. The Pulsar Observatory dome is sectional in design, and is delivered in kit form. Please Ring for details.

CUSTOMER REQUIREMENTS: 
Before you place the order of any Observatory Dome system please make sure that your department of planning and building inspection does agree. Probably you need a certain building permission.
The customer will need to provide a level concrete base to ensure secure fixing and dome operation. Have a look to our installation guide which gives you an example for a suitable base dimension. 

Various upgrades and accessories are available. The 2.7 metre Observatory Dome is available in white - for other colours please call. We can also supply a steel pier, that will complete the permanent installation of your telescope, giving you more space within the dome than your existing tripod. We can also fabricate custom height piers to suit your requirements.

PULSAR DOMES REMOTE ROTATION DRIVE
The PULSAR Dome Drive is the latest development in automating your observatory. Designed for use with the Pulsar 2.7 metre dome or 2.2 metre dome, you can control your observatory from the LCD display panel or from the supplied software on your PC. The Pulsar Dome Drive system is supplied completely assembled, ready to install, using just 4 bolts. The maximum rotation speed is approx. 2.5 degrees per minute.NOTE: Windows 11 requires FTDI drivers to be manually installed to allow the Pulsar App to connect to the dome. Programs using ASCOM (N.I.N.A, SGPro etc..) use virtual COMM ports so are unaffected. PULSAR DOME REMOTE SHUTTER DRIVE
Motorize your dome shutter - with Bluetooth connection to the rotational drive, and is a vital step towards complete full remote operation of your observatory. Designed to use with PULSAR 2.7 metre dome or 2.2 metre dome. The PULSAR shutter drive is powererd by a pre-installed lithium battery. The battery is recharged by the supplied new PULSAR Induction Charger or by using a power tank battery charger. PULSAR DOMES Pulley Kit
The PULSAR Pulley Accessory Kit is designed to aid the opening and closing of the dome shutter, and to minimise the risk of the shutter slipping and causing damage. Allows the shutter to be part opened to any position if required. Easy to fit, the kit comes complete with pulley wheel, nuts, bolts and washers, together with 4 metres of Nylon rope. It can be fitted whilst your dome is being installed or retro-fitted afterwards. The pulley fits to the flange at the top of your dome aperture, through the existing bolt hole, and the Nylon cord fits to the front and rear of the sliding shutter. PULSAR DOMES MULTI PIER ADAPTOR PLATE
The Pulsar multi pier adapter plate is a universal solution for mounting your equatorial mount on the PULSAR telescope pier (part.No.4900660). This adapter plate has different contours on the top and bottom which are suitable for most commercially available telescope mounts. Depending on the type of mount, it can be easily reversed and the pier is ready for use with another mount. You stay flexible and don't have to work with different adapters when upgrading or changing your telescope mount. The adapter plates we offer are made of solid aluminium material and use, among other openings, the standard hole circle diameter of 130mm with 6pcs through holes of 8.0mm and countersinks for M8 cylinder head screws with hexagon socket. The outer diameter of the adapter plate is 163mm and the overall height is 50mm. Pulsars new Heavy Duty security clamps are ideal for automated and remote observatory domes. Made from high quality stainless steel, they remain permanently engaged whilst still allowing free rotation of the dome top. In extreme weather conditions, the dome can be additionally screwed down and secured with the optionally available M8x20 wing screws. We advise the use of these clamps for not only remote use, but also public observatories and schools. They can easily be fitted to exisiting pulsar domes too ! Our HD clamps are supplied in 4pcs.
